Contact the Crisis Line trains volunteers to assist troubled callers by listening, counseling, providing referrals, and intervening in crisis. Volunteers also receive training to make calls to our elderly REASSURANCE clients. The classes are informative and interesting. The atmosphere is one of fun and fellowship.
Classes begin on Saturday, March 4, 2017 and meet from 8 am – 5pm at Broadmeadow United Methodist Church, 4419 Broadmeadow Drive, Jackson MS. We will meet for 8 hours each Saturday for 4 weeks, March 4,11,25,and April 1. Lunch will be provided. Attendance at all classes is required for certification. The training is free for those who plan to volunteer upon completion of the training.
