Mindful Presence

A MONTHLY MINDFULNESS GROUP FOR PARENTS & GOOD SHEPHERD CATECHISTS – Sundays Jan 27, Feb 24, March 24, April 28, and May 19 from 4 – 5:30 pm at St. James’, Gray Hall, 2nd floor, Room 214. Qualities such as love, compassion, presence and clarity are not virtues of the saints alone. These qualities can be developed and honed in the practice of daily living. Being present to children as a parent or as a catechist requires intention, self-awareness and resilience. By weaving mindfulness and self-compassion through the liturgical calendar, in a monthly meet up for parents and catechists, we will refresh, renew and discuss our ordinary yet extraordinary lives together. Our leader, Kathy Woodliff, is the founder of the McClean Fletcher Grief Support Center for Children and Adolescents, a psychotherapist and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher. Please register at https://diomsyouth.wufoo.com/forms/q3fqhht0pzprdd/. For more information contact Mary Nell Prichard at mprichard@stjjax.org. Offered by St. James’ Children and Family Ministries and in partnership with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral.
